31 Killed by Road Crashes, During Chinese/Vietnamese New Year

Road crashes, generally, cause fatalities, disabilities and serious impacts on both household and society living.
Report from Department of Order, General Commissariat of National Police, showed that for the period of four days, February 13 to 16, there were 127 cases causing 293 victims totally, in which 31 were killed. In average, 8 persons were killed daily. The report added that 97% of the crashes were caused by human errors, 43% of the victims suffered from over speeding, and 15% suffered from drink driving. There were 199 vehicles associated with the crashes above, of which motorbike accounted for 77%.
Kandal and Kampong Cham provinces were found obtaining the highest fatality rate.
Road crah is certainly caused by human, therefore all drivers can possibly involve in reducing the crashes. Example, drink driving is an improper behavior because it causes driver impaired and leading to speeding and so on. It means you take part in reducing road crashes unless you drink and drive.
